I’ve decided to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone. I want to complete the 3 peak challenge. This means I will climb the three highest peaks in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, over two days and this will take place on June 22nd and 23rd June 2019. This gives me just 5 weeks to prepare for this and just to let you all know, I have never climbed a mountain in my life. I have a team behind me who are going to support my training and the climbing of all three peaks.
What I’m most nervous about is not being able to complete the challenge due to my fitness level and at the moment this is not up to the standard needed. I regularly go to the gym and I’m an active women in general but this is going to be the hardest challenge I’ve ever done. In the next 5 weeks Im going to be training not only my body but my mind as well. I believe if someone is mentally prepared then they can push past the physical pain. Hey I’ve been through a lot worse so here goes.
Where do I go to the toilet on this challenge. Come on I’m a woman, I need the bathroom toilet right. I am not going to be able to hold it in on this trek. So it must be that I have to go out side. So that is another challenge in its self. Just had a thought, Im laughing right now writing this and lets just say, I hope I only need a wee.
I am doing this challenge for many reasons. The first reason is challenging myself and feeling that sense of achievement. Second reason is I want to raise money and awareness for the Survivors Trust so they can carry on supporting people who need this service. I’m doing this for every survivor of sexual and domestic abuse. You are not alone. I’m challenging myself as I know I am strong and I can do it, I just have to believe I can. I want to show people that they are not alone in this world and you can achieve anything.
I have set up a just giving page through The Survivors Trust. All donations are welcome no matter how small or big. I really would appreciate all your support. On the weeks coming up to this challenge I will be blogging my training progress with you all and taking you on this amazing adventure with me.

Every five minutes in the UK someone experiences rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault by penetration. 15% of girls and 5% of boys have experienced sexual violence by the time they are sixteen.
The Survivors Trust is the only UK and Ireland-wide umbrella agency for specialist organisations supporting all survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. The core aim of the survivors trust is to ensure that society supports all survivors effectively and takes responsibility for ending sexual violence. Help them to achieve this.
So please with your help we can change lives.
Lets do this.
Look out for my next blogs on training my body and mind.
